Individual Supports
DDD Individual Supports refer to personalized services and resources provided to individuals with developmental disabilities to assist them in living more independently and participating fully in community life. These supports are typically coordinated by the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) or similar agencies within various states or regions. The goal of individual supports is to enhance the quality of life, promote autonomy, and ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities have the opportunities and resources to achieve their personal goals.
Respite care
DDD Respite Care is a temporary care services provided to individuals with developmental disabilities, offering short-term relief for their primary caregivers. This type of care is supported and often funded by the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) in New Jersey as in other states, as part of a broader range of services aimed at supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The ultimate goal of DDD respite care is to ensure that caregivers can take a break from their caregiving responsibilities, reducing stress and preventing burnout, while ensuring that the individual with developmental disabilities continues to receive safe, compassionate, and reliable care.
